Carole Hofer

August 10, 1944-September 20, 2011

Service: A memorial service will be held 10:30am Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church.

 Carole Gene Belden Hofer passed away on September 20, 2011 at 12:55pm at Sanford Medical Center, Sioux Falls, SD due to complications from diabetes and heart disease. 
Carole was born on August 10, 1944 in Sioux Falls to Albert and Roberta (Smith) Christopherson.  Carole graduated from Washington High School in 1962 and was employed by Globe Machinery & Supply Co. for 37 years.
 Carole married Ron Hofer November 15, 1978 in Sioux Falls, SD.  Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Ron, Sioux Falls, SD; two son’s, Troy (Lisa) Belden of Sioux Falls, SD and Sean (Emily) Hofer of Miami, FL; grandchildren, Courtney and Cameron Belden of Sioux Falls, SD and Chloe and Jacob Hofer of Miami, FL; two special people, a nephew and niece, Brad and Lois Hofer of Sioux Falls; sister, Judy (ED) Searles of Hartford, SD and brother, Jerry (Donna) Christopherson of Sioux Falls, SD; sister-in-laws, Grace Duerksen, Marion, SD, Susie (Tom) Lokken Flandreau, Sd, Ruth Boehm, Penacook, NH; brother-in-laws, Johnny (Edna) Hofer, Bridgewater, Sd Elmer (Evelyn) Hofer, Bridgewater, SD, Ruben (Marlene) Hofer, Sioux Falls, SD, and Jacob (deceased) (Darlene) Hofer, Dolton, SD and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carole was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls, SD. 
Carole enjoyed mahjong, reading, cross-stitching, knitting and which she spent hours making things for others.  She enjoyed anything surrounding her grandchildren, who were the focus of her life.
A very special Thank You to the doctors and nurses who cared so deeply for our Carole.  Third Floor ICU, Pulmonary Floor and Doctor Thambi and team and Doctor Burris.  You have made all the difference during this time.  Thank You.
