I remember our Uncle Tom Winter as a heroic almost mythic figure when were growing up. We would sit in the stands at Husets Speedway and see him and the rest of the family/crew including Dale and the Winters and Krogers in the pits throwing mud in the air and flying to victory. At all the holidays at our grandparents house he was so much fun to listen to and laugh with. I loved his quick dry sense of humor and especially the woman he chose to marry, his beautiful Francis. He was a good, good man and was loved by all.
