Steven A. Hammond, age 62, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 3, 2026 surrounded by his buddies at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
Dear, sweet and wonderful Steve! My heart aches to hear that you have left us! Who am I going to sit by at State Amateur Baseball ⚾️ games now and root on “The Gang”? You were always so good to do that with me and I appreciate all the knowledge shared, laughs had and the memories made. Now you can watch every game in every sport any and all the time. Thank you for your friendship! But now it’s time for you to be well again and spend all the time that you’re not watching sports with your parents and your brother. Oh, the celebration they must have had when you arrived?!?! “I Can Only Imagine”! You will be missed by many because you were loved by so many!
I am so sorry to learn of this tremendous loss. What a wonderful guy Steve was! Sending prayers & condolences to all who knew & loved him. May he rest high in Heaven with our Lord, as he now is reunited with his brother & parents.
