November 30, 1932 - October 8, 2017

Visitation: Visitation with family present will be Saturday October 14, from 3 - 5:00 p.m. at Anderson Funeral Home in Canton.

Service: His memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 15, at Lands Lutheran Church of rural Hudson. Burial with Military Rites will be at the Lands Cemetery.

Roger Twedt paper pic           Roger Stuart Twedt, age 84, of Hudson, SD passed away on Oct. 8th at his farm surrounded by his loving family.  Visitation will be Saturday, Oct. 14th from 3-5 p.m. at Anderson Funeral Home in Canton, SD.  Memorial services will be Sunday, Oct. 15th at 2:00 p.m. at Lands Lutheran Church, Hudson, SD, with burial to follow at Land’s cemetery.

        Roger Stuart, son of Floyd and Mildred (Kittleson) Twedt was born on Nov. 30th, 1932. Roger was a lifelong farmer in Lincoln County and a lifelong member of the Hudson American Legion.   He graduated from Alcester high school and served in the U.S. Army.

          Roger was united in marriage to Marlys Larson on June 14th, 1958. Grateful for having shared his life are his wife of 59 years Marlys; his children, Rhonda (Tom) Von Eye; Paul (Lola) Twedt;  Victoria (Stephen) Oberman; Rochelle (Rich) Dale; and Joseph (Jodi) Twedt, twelve grandchildren,  one great granddaughter,  one sister,  Helen Beck, and several nieces and nephews.

    We are so sorry to hear of Roger’s passing. We will always remember him as a great friend & neighbor. He would always carry on good conversations when I would help work the cattle & calves. We enjoyed a cup of coffee & lunch together many times while having good conversations. He will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the whole family. Especially Paul & Lola Twedt.
