Roger Haakinson, 74, passed away due to complications from diabetes Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Southridge Health Care in Sioux Falls. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, November 26, at Shalom Lutheran Church in Harrisburg. Fr. John Rutten of St. John Paul II Catholic Church is officiating. Roger is survived by his wife Helen, Harrisburg, SD; son Paul, Harrisburg, SD; grandson Peyton; and two brothers, Robert (Terri), Storm Lake, IA and David (Phyllis), Wilson, NC.
To the family of Roger Haakinson. I knew Roger years ago when he lived in Storm Lake. I was in the same class as his brother, Robert. I am so very sorry for your loss. Although it has been almost 55 years ago, I remember Roger as being a fun loving, and just all around nice person. I want you to know that all of you are in my thoughts and prayers.
