How sad to read of Bob’s passing. However, nothing can take away my fond memories of when he, Kenny Anderson, and I worked together at “Ma Bell”. I recall the first day, a cold snowy day, when we were to pull a 16 pair cable through the backyards and over the fences in the Norton/Frolich addition. It was about a 4 block pull and I thought it was rather tough going, even with Bob and Kenny pulling behind me. It was many years later I found out I pulled that length of cable alone. Bob and Ken wanted to find out if I was worth having on board. There were also countless lunch hours of playing knock poker. The new kid, that was me, had to sit in the truck cab while they sat comfortably in the crew cab of “Old Leroy”, our line truck. We had so many laughs. So I send my condolences to you, Bev, and the family concerning Bob’s passing. Although I never saw him much after I left “Ma Bell”, I have never forgotten the friendship and association with him. He was unique! Royce G. Adams – an old “grunt”,”stump jumper”, and “skinner”

Bev – Cathy – Doug; Lot’s of GREAT Memories…..That is what I will always have when I think of Bob and all of you. You all were are BIG part of life growing up. Many of times I spent with Bob on the Garbage Truck, in his garge or with Bob & Bev in the house are some of my best memories as a kid growing up in harrisburg. Bob teasing me with his Cruise control by snapping his fingeers to make the car go faster. All the jars of Planters salted peanuts we ate and of course Bev’s M&m cookies, still my favorite. Bob was a good man – a very good man and I will forever be greatful for knowing him and having him in my life! My God bless each of you and all of us with memories that last forever!
