Pamela Marie Reinke, age 66, died peacefully Friday, October 9, 2026 after a brief battle with cancer at CHI Hospice in Omaha, NE. DUE TO THE CHANCE OF RAIN ON SATURDAY, PAM’S SERVICE WILL NOW BE HELD AT ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME IN CANTON, SD at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 24, 2026.
Pam was born on July 1, 1960 in Canton, SD to Raymond and Lenah “Lois” (Brandhagen) Reinke. She graduated from Rock Valley High School in 1978. After graduating from SDSU with a nursing degree in 1982, she moved to Omaha, NE to begin her 40+ year nursing career. She worked at several different facilities but spent the majority of her career working nights and weekends in the ER. When she wasn’t working, she enjoyed playing BUNCO, BINGO and spending time with her family and friends.
Pam is survived by her son, Chad (Anna) Goldammer of Brookings, SD and his family; brothers, Doug (Helen) Reinke of Sioux City, IA and his family, David (Debra) Reinke of Rock Valley, IA and his family, and Timothy (friend, Kendra) Reinke of Sioux City, IA and his family; sister-in-law, Deb Reinke (brother, Thomas, deceased) of Prospect, VA and her family; along with numerous other extended family.
Pam was very close to and deeply loved her family, but she also held a special place in her heart for the lifelong, trusted friendships she cherished with Cindy, Julie, Kathy, Lori, and so many others. These dear friends were an important part of her life, sharing years of memories, laughter, love, and an enduring bond that she treasured deeply.
Pam was preceded in death by her parents and brother Thomas Reinke.

Where do I begin? So many great (and not so great) memories with Pam.
When I say not so great, it was the times we would fight (as girls would), then our parents would ground us from playing with each other.
Pam and I would resolve our fight, and ‘secretly’ hang out and play together again. Becoming besties…until the next grounding:-)
We played on our sack swing for hours! Rode bikes, snowmobile, swam at the pool and had so much fun!
I will be forever grateful that Pam was a part of my childhood.
Haven’t seen her in years, but I am going to miss her!
RIP, Dear Friend Pam
I was new in my career when I started in ER at Creighton. Pam took me under her wing and taught me so much. She was strong and funny, compassionate and firm. So so smart!! She never faltered in her commitment to us and her patients. She was amazing and I’ll never forget all she did for me.
Your kind spirit and generosity will live on in the memories of us all. You will be missed.
