Visitation: Visitation with family present will be Monday from 5-7 p.m. at Anderson Funeral Home in Canton.

Service: Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 27 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Fairview, SD.

Mary Wells- paper       Mary Wells, age 83, died Friday, June 23, 2017 at Good Samaritan Society Canton.  Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 27 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Fairview, SD.  Visitation with family present will be Monday from 5-7 p.m. at Anderson Funeral Home in Canton.

        Mary was born on September 29, 1933 in Fairview, SD to Wade and Faye (Crawford) Wells.  She attended grade school near Fairview and graduated from Canton High School in 1951.  She worked at various jobs including the Townhouse Bakery in Canton.  She enjoyed watching the MN Twins and visiting with other residents at the nursing home.  She was a lifelong member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Fairview.

        Mary is survived by 2 brothers, Roger (Alice) Wells, Sioux Falls, SD and Raymond (Val) Wells, DeForest, WI; sister, Waverly Kleinhans, Alcester, SD; along with several nieces, nephews, and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents and niece, Cheryl Lea Wells.

    I knew Mary from her years at Townhouse Bakery and also from volunteering at Canton Good Samaritan. I will miss her sunny smile! Sending sincere sympathy.

    we are sending alot of prayers for the family for comforting. i have so many good memories of Mary. There was a time I stayed with her in town when dad and mom went to the black hills. and a few more times when mom worked at nights. Again. We are so sorry for your loss.
