Following a life of faith and service Lois Esther Eneboe died on March 31, 2014 and is now living in Christ’s presence in heaven.  She was born in Augusta, Wisconsin on May 15, 1922, to Arnie and Sarah Elmyra (Anderson) Anderson.  Lois grew up in the dairy farm communities of Wisconsin; the oldest of seven fun and loving children. She attended country grade school, high school, and received a teaching certificate.  Lois taught at the high school level and spent summers teaching month long Vacation Bible Schools, all while adding more college credits to earn her BA in Education.  She also enjoyed family and friends and travel.  During this time she attended Lutheran Bible Institute where her brother introduced her to the love of her life, a South Dakota farmer, Reynold Eneboe.  They were married on September 1, 1951 and Lois and Reynold began their life together on a dairy farm in Wisconsin and a year later their first child, Ruel, was born.  Soon after this they moved to South Dakota to the family farm and twins, Ronald and Randi.  Lois openly shared her love of her Lord and love of learning and teaching with her children and community.   She taught and touched many lives in Sunday School, confirmation, and VBS.  She also learned from and led many adult Bible Studies and Women’s Circles at Romsdal Church and in the Moe Park Parrish.  A highlight of learning was attending Bible Study Fellowship. Lois was most happy when she was with family and a bright spot in her life were the many vacation travels to see family in Wisconsin and other parts of the country.  She loved to read her Bible and rarely found a book she didn’t enjoy.  She continued her lifelong desire to learn by obtaining her Masters Degree in Elementary Education at USD.  She served on the Canton School Board, and in this role enjoyed giving her oldest son his high school diploma.   In 1974 she returned to a paid teaching role at E.O. Lawrence Elementary.  In “retirement” Lois and Reynold moved into Canton and enjoyed becoming “snow birds”; traveling many times with or to see family and friends.  She enjoyed many RV camping trips to Newton Hills, Lewis and Clark Lake and across the continental US, and traveled to Hawaii, Alaska, Norway, Liberia, Switzerland, England, and a trip to the Holy Land with her sister-in-law and friend Ruth.  Later in life Lois was diagnosed with Parkinson disease.  She continued to handle this, as with all life happenings, with faith that God walked with her and He would help and sustain her.  She is lovingly remember by her husband Reynold Eneboe; children Ruel and Shelley Eneboe, Ron and Darla Eneboe, Randi and Gary Helder; grandchildren Tyson and Meghana, Rikka and Dusty, Kyle and Kaitlin, Nick, and Kelsey; great Grandchildren Cadence and Camdyn;  sisters and brothers Allen and Doris Anderson, Walter Olson, Dorothy Baye, Lloyd and Lydia Anderson, Carol and Jim Matson, Alice and Bill Myers;  sister and brother-in-Law, Ruth and Buell Kittelson; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents; one sister, Elizabeth Olson; brothers and sister-in-laws, Everett and Evelyn Eneboe, Julius Eneboe and Floyd Baye.

Thanks Mom for all you did and taught us – we love and appreciate you.
