Kevin McGillivray, 54, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Avera McKennan Hospital surrounded by his family and friends. His memorial service will be at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, March 26 at Anderson Funeral Home in Canton. Family will greet visitors from 2 to 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
Kevin was born June 14, 1962 in Sioux Falls, SD to Neal and Judy (Larson) McGillivray in Sioux Falls, SD. He attended school in Canton, graduating in 1981. Over the years, Kevin worked in manufacturing and most recently for Wise-Buys in Sioux Falls. He enjoyed music, working outdoors, fishing, camping, computers, and spending time with his nieces and nephews.
Survivors include his mother, Judy McGillivray (Doug Kessel), Canton; brother, Neal (Pam) McGillivray, Canton; sister, Kim McGillivray, Brandon; nephew, Eric (Jessie Oliver) McGillivray, Canton; nieces, Jenna (Devon) Chaulk and their son, Kayden and Carissa (Doug) Bryson and their daughter MacKenzie and son Nathanial, all of Canton, SD; along with a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, friends, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and father, Neal McGillivray, Sr.
