Kathy McCann, age 63, died Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at Sanford USD Medical Center.  A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 12 at Forest Hill Cemetery, Canton, SD.

Kathy was born on March 26, 1959 in Freeman, SD to William “Bill” and Helen (Lynn) McCann.  She lived in Bridgewater before moving to Canton, SD in 1968.  She graduated from Canton High School in 1977.  She then attended Mount Marty College for Business.

Kathy worked at Citi Bank for over 30 years in various departments.  She enjoyed going to movies, rummages, scrapbooking, family history, going on car rides and traveling, especially to the Buffalo Round-up in the Black Hills.  She loved Pizza Hut pizza, homemade popcorn, and spending her weekends in Canton spoiling her nephews.

She is survived by her siblings: Barb (Ed) Meyer, Judy Sperling, Connie Sweeter, Kevin (Cheryl) McCann, and Carol Kruse; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.  She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Janet.  www.andersonandsonsfh.com

    I worked at Citibank with Kathy for over 20 years , We are all in shock and in disbelief of her passing! she was so friendly and we were like one big family! WE immediately bonded when she found out that I previously went to Canton High and attended Fire School with your folks! To all of the. MCCANN FAMILY- my sincerest sympathy ! May she Rest In Peace!     My deepest sympathy to the McCann family. I just heard that Kathy passed away at work (Citi bank). We worked in different departments together. We always had a good time visiting about things and some time went to a movie together. Always love her smile and laugh. She will be truly missed.
