Service: Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 18 at St. Dominic’s Catholic Church in Canton, SD with burial to follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.

Joseph Coad, 3 months 23 days old, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 in the NICU at Sanford USD Medical Center.  Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 18 at St. Dominic’s Catholic Church in Canton, SD with burial to follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be Thursday from 2-8 p.m., with family present from 6-8 p.m., at Anderson Funeral Home in Canton.

 Joseph was born July 22, 2011 along with his brothers Johnathan and Benjamin to Steven & Amy (Braaten) Coad in Sioux Falls, SD.  Although he was on this earth for only a short time, he touched numerous lives and will be remember by many.  He will be greatly missed by his parents, brothers, and extended family.

 Joseph  is survived by his parents; brothers, Nicholas, Christopher, Benjamin, and Johnathan; grandparents, Larry Braaten, Canton, SD, Matthew (Loretta) Coad, Dell Rapids, SD, and Kim Jorgensen, Sioux Falls, SD; great-grandparents, Bernice Braaten, Canton, SD, Doug (Marynell) Jorgensen, Sioux Falls, SD, and Mae Mueller, Plaza, ND; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Nels Braaten, Ione (Melvin) Coad, and Verne Olson.
