John P. Twedt, 78, of San Diego, CA, previously of Canton, SD passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2023.  A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at Lands Lutheran Cemetery, rural Hudson, SD.  Anderson Funeral Home in Canton, SD is handling the arrangements.

John was born to John and Agnes (Gibbons) Hild in Omaha, NE on May 13, 1945 and was adopted by Rudolph and Anna (Severson) Twedt of Canton, SD.

In 1976, John relocated to San Diego, CA and passed away at Fredricka Manor Care Center in Chula Vista, CA.

John was preceded in death by his parents Rudolph and Anna (Severson) Twedt, brothers Roy Twedt and Wayne Twedt, three sisters Agnes (Twedt) Hild, Dorothy (Twedt) Hammitt and Carol (Twedt) Van Buskirk.

John is survived by one sister-in law and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
