Canton.  Jean L. (Sundvold) Stensland, age 84, died Sunday, February 12, 2017 at Sanford Hospice Centennial Cottage.  A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 17 at Forest Hill Cemetery, Canton, SD.   Visitation will be Thursday from 2-8 p.m., family present 6-8 p.m., at Anderson Funeral Home in Canton, SD.

Jean was born on July 1, 1932 in Canton, SD to Bert and Helen (Anderson) Sundvold.  She graduated from Canton High School in 1950. She worked for GE in Omaha before spending time at CoilCraft and Adams in Canton.

Jean is survived by her son, Vincent Allen Benson, Brandon, SD; daughters, Jamie Lee Hollenbeck, Sioux Falls, SD and Rhonda Lynn Benson, Canton, SD; brothers, Robert (Rachel) Sundvold, Blue Springs, MO, Bennett Sundvold, Sioux Falls, SD, and Glenn (Mary) Sundvold, Omaha, NE; sister, Diane Faler, St. Louis, MO; grandchildren, Christopher, Cory, Kayla, Shona, Ryan, Nick, Ashley, and Danielle; 11 great-grandchildren; along with many other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Marilyn Friessen, Karol Peterson, Bonnie and Glenice Sundvold; and brother, Allen Sundvold.
