Canton, SD. Hildegarde ‘Hildy’ Bower, age 80, formerly of Aberdeen, died Wednesday, March 28 surrounded by family. A worship service celebrating her life in thanksgiving to God will be held at Canton Lutheran Church, 2 PM Saturday, March 31. There will be visitation one hour prior to the service. Hildy is survived by her children: Rory (Jan) Bower, St. Paul, MN, Ray (Chris) Bower, Harlingen, TX, Rikki (Mike) Norton, Milford, IA, Rhonda (Tony) Haglund, Canton, SD, and Ranee (Lyle) Eszlinger, Sioux Falls, SD; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

I am so sorry to hear about Hildy. My thoughts go back to working with Hildy at the Shereton, getting to know her and many of you..her family. I’m glad I had the privilege of getting to know her….she had alot of energy and was alot of fun. Please know my thoughts are with you during this time. May you feel the arms of Jesus surround you with His peace and comfort.
