Delores E. Bankson, age 83, passed away Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012 at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls. Funeral services will be at 11 AM Wednesday, Feb. 22, at Canton United Methodist Church. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-8 PM at Anderson Funeral Home in Canton, with family present from 6:30-8 PM.
Delores Elaine Bankson was born November 10, 1928 at Redfield, SD to Fred and Gladys (Afdahl) Green. She attended school in Ellendale, ND, graduating in 1946. Delores married Torrance Bankson January 28, 1956 in Canton. They were members of Canton United Methodist Church and the Canton Optimists Club. Delores enjoyed sports and was an avid Vikings and Lakers fan.
Delores is survived by her husband Torrance; son Doug and his wife Nanci, Olathe, KS; two grandchildren, Connor and Kayla; two brothers, Frederick Marvin (Audrey) Green, Plymouth, MN and Rodney Roy (Guadalupe) Green, Corning, CA; and several nieces and nephews.
