Clifford Heffele, age 47, died Sunday, April 17, 2022 in Warrensburg, MO.  Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 26, 2022 at Canton Lutheran Church.  Burial will follow the service at Forest Hill Cemetery, Canton, SD.

Clifford was born on Friday, June 28, 1974 at 7:35 a.m. in Sioux Falls, SD to Judy (Bell) and Richard Heffele.  The family lived in Canton before moving to Sioux Falls.  Clifford was an adventurous child who loved to climb, help his mother cook, spend time with his sibling, especially fishing, and was good with his hands.   He could fix anything and once got an old motorcycle running in under 30 minutes, shocking both his mother and the neighbor who said he would never get it running.   He loved his grandparents and enjoyed helping them sell vegetables.  Russ Hammond also had a big influence on Clifford’s life.

Clifford attended Lincoln High School and later earned his GED.  He married Jackie Shelton on September 18, 1997.  Clifford was a jack of all trades and worked a variety of jobs through the years.  He loved the outdoors and was passionate about archery, fishing and hunting.

Grateful for sharing his life are his mother, Judy Heffele; siblings, Richard Heffele, Jr., Donald Heffele, Timothy Heffele, and Patricia Sisk; ex-wife, Jackie Heffele; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.  He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Heffele, Sr.; grandparents, Clifford and Bertha Bell and Gottfred and Dorothy Heffele.

Clifford was a very kind and loving boy. My son Paul, Cliffords cousin nicknamed him Cliffy-ford. He loved playing with all of his cousins! I will forever miss him.
