Clarice Rowena Bourdette Low, age 85, died peacefully Saturday, May 16, 2026 surrounded by her family at her home under hospice care.
Clarice was born August 24, 1940 in Williamsport, Pennsylvania to the late Clarence and Rowena Bourdette, the middle child of five. She was a graduate of Williamson high school in 1959. She was married in 1962 and had three children (Shelia, Elizabeth, and Donald). She worked at the Federal Law enforcement training center doing cleaning work and later on worked at Kmart in the garden center. She remarried in 1986 to the late David Low and were happily in love until his departure in 2007.
Clarice loved to spend time with family, her chicken collection, watching her favorite shows (the Price is Right, Gunsmoke, Lark Rise to Candleford, and Outlander), going shopping, and stopping at Cracker Barrel on the way home! She was a loving and caring person, adoring wife, devoted mother, the funniest grandma, and a true friend. Clarice was the heart of her family, she always had a good story to tell and a smart remark to get you to laugh, she had a witch cackle that put the wicked witch of the east to shame; she will be missed more than words can express and remembered each and every day.
Clarice leaves to cherish her loving memory her children, Shelia Grate and Elizabeth Horan(Michael); Several grandchildren and multiple great grandchildren. Her brother Jim Bourdette, sister Sharron Briggs (Richard), and sister-in-law Toni Bourdette. She is preceded in death by her brother Ronnie Bourdette, her sister Mary Jane Tice (Russell), her son Donald Moore ll, her husband David William Low, her sister-in-law Pricillia Bourdette, friend Edie Wilkerson and, her parents Clarence Bourdette and Rowena Hill.
