When someone younger like Andy passes, it seems like it’s out of sync and hard to understand. As people of faith we firmly believe that he is now with God in heaven and with his deceased family members, enjoying the light of Jesus Christ. Rest in peace, Andy!

Damn. This is hard news from The Lounsbery’s. We were blessed to have you through the years as a 4Her then a 4-H parent and volunteer. You knew all the goings on in the county and were the best in our corner. You believed in Lincoln County 4-H and it showed. We will miss the next few years showing hogs along side Marshall as we have the other boys over the years and will always cherish your friendship.

I got to know Andy when we were both working at the University of Sioux Falls some years back. He was always there to lend an ear and to offer good advice. I just read Russ Swanson’s tribute to him on FB; I had no idea that Andy was such a card! I wish I’d gotten to know him better. The world is a lesser place without him in it. Dear Minihan Family,
How we wish we could have been with you last night and with you this morning to hug you and tell you how special Andy was to us. We will always be looking for his red pick-up to be parked outside Grand Living at Lake Lorraine on the nights he was here to provide security. We always thanked him for taking care of us and we truly meant it. We talked over our balcony, met him at the front desk or sent texts. His last text was March 8th.
He was so proud of his sons and was a great Dad. As friends, we were so blessed to know him. We will miss you Andy. Our prayers and love to all the Minihan Family.

I have known Andy since the birth of at least one of his sons. My children & I have great memories of him and his boys. He always had a smile. He made time to visit and really listen to everything you said. As prior members of St Dominic, we admired his faith. In this time of grief, let God comfort you. Know that Andy is with him now. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Andy and I worked the streets together as Sioux Falls Police Officers. I couldn’t have asked for a better partner. He was always there for me. He always asked about my kids and was the most devoted father to his boys I ‘ve ever seen. I always loved calling Andy and reminiscing about old times. We would laugh like crazy. Andy never complained about the bad times he was going through and always looked on the bright side. I’ll miss you brother.
