Porter Argus picture    Canton, SD- Carolyn Margaret Porter, age 73, died Monday, September 28, 2015 at Sanford USD Medical Center. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 1 at Canton Lutheran Church.
Carolyn was born on October 12, 1941 in Sadorus Township, IL to Ernest and Bernadine (Hooker) Brady. She graduated from Bement High School in 1959. She married John Porter on August 31, 1960. He died on March 21, 1994.
Grateful for sharing her life are her son, Mark (Charlene) Porter, Rapid City, SD; daughter, Dawn (Jeff) Kroger, Canton, SD; brothers, Dennis (Jo Beth) Brady, St. James, MO, and Mike (Wendy) Brady, Ivesdale, IL; grandchildren, Travis (Kelsey) Kroger, Terri (Cody) Croatt, Jacob Porter, and Alice Porter; along with numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack; brother, Lawrence; and sister, Sheila “Pat” Harris.
