Wayne Beer, age 59, died Friday, October 25, 2019 at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD after a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 28 at Redeemer Free Lutheran Church, Canton, SD. Visitation, with family present, will be Sunday from 3-5 p.m. at Redeemer Free Lutheran Church.
Wayne was born on September 13, 1960 to Howard and Martha (Breugem) Beer in Canton, SD. He grew up in Canton, graduating from Canton High School in 1978. He married Marcy Glenn on September 25, 1982 at Canton Lutheran Church.
Wayne began his 50 year career at the Canton Locker at the age of 9. He enjoyed his customers and working with his family. In his spare time, he liked to farm, hunt, fish, shoot trap and attend farm auctions. He was active in 4-H and loved helping his girls show cattle and pigs.
Grateful for sharing his life are his wife of 37 years, Marcy; daughters, Amy (Kevin) Olfert and Ashley (Ryan) Drietz; grandson, Landon; mother, Martha; special friend, Butch Scott; along with numerous other friends and relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, Howard and sister, Kathy.

We are grateful for Wayne’s life which was a life well lived with family & friends. Our hearts are so sad for his family & extended family. We love Wayne and all the family Our hearts are right there with you even though we can’t be at this time. Just keep walking in your Faith and the example he has set before you.
