Sandra Sue Downs, 74, of Sioux Falls, SD, formerly of Tempe, AZ, passed away on December 10, 2017. She died of natural causes at the Canton Good Samaritan Center.
Sandra was born in Galion, OH on July 7, 1943 to Cloa and Ralph Downs, Jr. She grew up in Columbus and graduated from Upper Arlington High School before attending Ohio State University.
In order to be close to her children, she moved to Tempe, AZ in 1996 until ill health, in February 2012, forced her to move to South Dakota, allowing her sister to care for her.
She is lovingly survived by her daughter, Kristin (David) Peace, Chagrin Falls, OH; sons, John (Jessica) Colby, Tempe, AZ and Drew (Rachel) Colby, Chandler, AZ; sisters, Sharon (Gregg) Ulrickson, Vicki (Edward) McCulloch, and Cathy Harrelson; brother, Ralph “Chip” (Cindy) Downs, III; and grandchildren, Marcus, Alex, Elinor, Audrey, Brynn, and Cali.
She is predeceased by her parents, son-in-law, Byron J. Horn, and nephew, Jordan Roman.

My cousin sandy I was young when you left home but I remember like it was yesterday you and Sharon we’re very musicle I. Can here you and Sharon sinning and playing the piano you will be dearly missed RIP
Am so sad to learn of the passing of Sandy. I only got to spend a few times with her but found her to have a great sense of humor and could relate to her through like experiences. May she Rest In Peace!
