Rodger Allen Minor, age 77, died unexpectedly Friday, October 14, 2022 at his home in Beloit, IA. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at Canton United Methodist Church. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-7 p.m., family present from 5-7 p.m., at Anderson Funeral Home in Canton.
Rodger was born on July 26, 1945 in Canton, SD to Owen and Clara (Dupuy) Minor. He attended school in Beloit, IA. He married Joan Halverson on June 3, 1966 at Canton Lutheran Church. The couple made their home in Beloit, IA.
Rodger was a jack of all trades. He worked at the tile plant in Canton, was a hired hand, raised cattle, farmed, and drove truck and did parts for Fastek. He enjoyed woodworking, playing cards, having guests, going to coffee, and International tractors. He also loved his family, especially his grandchildren, McDonalds fish sandwiches, and a good backrub.
Grateful for sharing his life are his wife of 56 years, Joan; daughters, Teryl (Steve) Ebright and Beverly (Bob) Rosheim; grandchildren, Andrew (Shanda) Ebright, Ashley Ebright, Alyssa (Andrew) Stoffel, Derrick Minor, Desirae (Brian) Johnson, Grant Rosheim, and Gavin Rosheim; great-grandchildren, Brailey Minor, Teagen Ebright, Tucker Ebright, Paisley Johnson, and Hadley Stoffel; sister-in law, Corky Minor; special friend, Sara Gardner; the Dupuy children; along with numerous extended relatives and friends. I worked with Rodger ( and Ronnie & Bob) at the Tile Plant and knew
them all for many years. Rodger was a great guy that would do anything
for you. RIP Rodger.
