Mark Henry Sanow, age 64, of Huron, SD died Sunday, July 24, 2022 at his home. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Anderson Funeral Home in Canton, SD. Family will greet visitors one hour prior to the service.
Mark was born on March 6, 1958 in LeMars, IA to Aldon “ED” Sanow and Janice (Reelfs) Sanow. Mark started working at a young age to support his family as he lost his father in a car accident in 1972. Mark joined the Army on June 16, 1976 and was honorably discharged.
Mark married the love of his life, Lisa, on May 8, 2004 after being together for 15 years prior. Mark worked many jobs, but his passion was driving truck. He retired due to a trucking accident.
Mark loved woodworking, camping, fishing, and being with his grandchildren. He loved passing down his knowledge and wisdom to them and being there for special occasions.
Mark is survived by his wife Lisa of Huron; daughter Heather (Travis) Koapke of Huron; sons Ed (Carlene) of Sioux Falls, Duane (Bonnie) of Bridgewater, James (Tasha) of Huron, Kyle (Tayshaw) of Perham, MN, Cody (Shayla) of Moro, OR, and Austin of Huron; son-in-law Scott Anderson of Lennox; sisters Julie Ford of Akron, IA and Tammy (Loren) Toben of Westfield, IA; stepfather Milo Koerner of Akron, IA; 24 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; along with many extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Genice Sanow, daughter Jessica Anderson, brother-in-law Greg Ford, and nephew Eric Toben.
