Service: Funeral Services will be held at Grace Baptist Church in Sioux Falls on Saturday, July 20 at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Grand Valley Lutheran Cemetery in Canton, SD.

Larry Keith King, age 85, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota passed away on July 14, 2024.  Visitation will be held at Grace Baptist Church in Sioux Falls on Saturday, July 20 at 10 AM followed by a funeral service at 11 AM.  Interment will follow at Grand Valley Lutheran Cemetery in Canton, SD.

                Larry was born to Kenneth and Maida (Junge) King on June 21, 1939 in Egan, SD.  Over the next few years, the family moved to Lennox, SD and eventually to Sioux Falls, SD where he spent most of his life.  He graduated from Washington High School and attended Augustana College before meeting his future bride.  Larry and Suzanne Torberson were married in 1967, and found their forever home in Hilltop in 1968 where they raised two sons Ricci and LeShon. Larry enjoyed classic country music and the silver screen western movies.   He had a passion for lighthouses and steam locomotives and never missed an opportunity to climb to the top of a lighthouse tower or watch an old steamer rolling down the track.  He was active in the church teaching Sunday School and spent many years helping with a Bible printing ministry to share the gospel throughout the world.  Larry and Suzanne celebrated 54 years of marriage until her passing.

                Grateful for sharing his life, he is survived by his sons, Ric (Marsha Carey) and LeShon (Mary); granddaughters, MacKenzie and Brianna; sister Sharon Ellis; and many nieces and nephews.  He was proceeded in death by his parents Kenneth and Maida.
