I have so many great memories with uncle Dave growing up. He was the closest thing I had to a Dad for years when I was a boy. Jolt Cola, Mtn. Dew, Skittles and beef jerky lunches driving down the “Long Lonely Road”. Then he would drop me off at grandmas with a world record sugar rush. 😆 He was there for me when I needed him, or just to have a chat to catch up. RIP uncle Dave.

I met David when I shared a hospital room with his mom Sharon. He would ride his bike to the hospital everyday to see me and his mom because Sharon said he had a crush on me. Later on David had a crush on my sister. she used to have me call David and pretend to be her. She was too bashful to call him herself. I cherish these memories from so long ago

My heart goes out to the entire family. I will cherish my memories of Dave from when I lived in NW Iowa. He was my protector and best friend during that time. My only regret is that we did not get to reconnect other than by phone later in life. God Bless and Godspeed my forever friend.

[…] It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our friend and colleague, Dave Lems. Dave was not only a dedicated Corporate Safety & Risk Manager at Henry Carlson Construction, but also a hardworking, kind and generous person who made a lasting impact on those around him.   Beyond his work, Dave had a passion for racing, building things (including our incredible grill trailer that we use at jobsites) and helping others. His knowledge, humor and friendship will be deeply missed by all of us.   Our thoughts are with his wife, Erin, his family and his many friends during this difficult time. A Celebration of Dave’s Life will be held at a later date.   https://andersonandsonsfh.com/david-lems/ […]
