Charles “Chuck” Andresen, age 79, died peacefully Saturday, December 13, 2025 at Sanford Hospice Foundation Cottage.  Memorial services will be held at a later date.

            Charles was born on September 30, 1946 in Sioux Falls, SD to Dr. Obel and Bessie (Costain) Andresen.  He attended school in Canton, graduating from Canton High School in 1964.  He furthered his education at the University of South Dakota, earning a degree in Government.

            Charles work at Brown Drug, Wholesale Plumbing and Heating, Sioux Falls Paint and Glass and spent 32 years with Sweetman Construction, retiring on June 2, 2016.

            In his spare time, Charles enjoyed CB radio, going out to eat and attending Canton City Commission meetings.  In addition, he served on Canton Planning and Zoning Commission for 34 years.

            Charles was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his cousins, Richard Costain and Barbara (Gene) Prete.   www.andersonandsonsfh.com
