       Barbara Ann Dobbe, age 83, died Wednesday, July 3, 2024 surrounded by family at Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls, SD.  Memorial services will begin at 3:00 p.m. Monday, July 8, 2024 at Anderson Funeral Home in Canton, SD.  Family will greet visitors one hour prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Sioux Falls Area Humane Society.

        Barbara was born on October 27, 1940 in Hudson, SD to Marion and Helen (Timm) Dobbe.  She graduated from Huxley High School in 1958.  She worked most of her life as an insurance claims adjuster in Minneapolis, MN.  She moved to Sioux Falls, SD in 2013.

        Barbara was a kind-hearted, gentle soul who always tried to do the right thing and could be trusted to keep a secret.  She loved animals, her family, a good book, a fancy hat, and having supper and a glass of wine with friends.  She also enjoyed participating and loved the people at Rock Steady Boxing at the Inn on Westport.

        Barbara is survived by her siblings, Sharon Lovro, Ron Dobbe, Gary Dobbe, Jim Dobbe, Vicki (Terry) Carlson, Peggy (Craig) Koester, Janice Lantz, Rick (Pat) Dobbe, and Steve (Julie) Dobbe; numerous extended family and friends; and her cat, Molly.  She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Deb Norberg and Patty Graff, and brother Douglas Dobbe.
