I did not know Barb, but my nieces and nephew were in her care! They loved her so much and will miss her deeply. My prayers to her husband and children as they navigate this difficult season in life.
Barb was the kind of person who made you feel like you’d known her forever when you’d just met. Her presence filled the room with sunshine and her smile was like a hug. We are heartbroken that her life was cut short, but grateful to have met her. To her family, your loss will always be hard, but she’ll remain in your hearts to help whenever you need her. Use her example to guide you through your lives and keep each other close, for together you will find the strength and love you need to carry on.
We had gotten a phone call and a voicemail telling us that daycare would be closed for the next week. Thinking maybe a family member needed attention, not thinking that you’d be gone for more than a week, much less forever.. I remember telling Dilan hours before that call that you are like a second mom to my son and that he loves you so much. I was looking forward to coming over in the morning and seeing Oliver’s face light up when he sees your face and getting more phone calls telling me that he is giving you hugs and kisses. My heart goes out to family and friends missing you because I know we sure do.
May God bless you and your family at this time of sorrow. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time.
