Service: Memorial services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 17 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls, SD. A private family burial will be at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, rural Hudson, SD.

Albert T. Olsen, age 89, passed away peacefully Thursday, December 15, 2011 at his home in Canton.  Memorial services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 17 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls, SD.  A private family burial will be at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, rural Hudson, SD. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed towards Children’s Care Hospital in Sioux Falls.
    Albert was born August 6, 1922 on a farm near Fairview, SD, the son of Adolph and Randina (Thormodsgaard) Olsen. 
    Albert married Elaine Groon October 4, 1946 at Trinity Lutheran Church.  The couple lived and farmed near Fairview until moving to Canton in 1988.  They have been members of Canton Lutheran Church since 1989.  Albert worked with his sons at OP Trucking and Landscaping for several years.
    Grateful for having shared Albert’s life are: his wife of 65 years, Elaine; six children and their spouses- Linda ( Robert) Kayser, Ankeny, IA, Arlyn (Cheryl) Olsen, Sioux Falls, SD, Daryl (Nancy) Olsen, Audubon, IA, David (Leota) Olsen, Fairview, SD, Keith (Holly) Olsen, Worthing, SD, and Susan(Daryl) Eichacker, Sioux Falls, SD; 16 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother, 2 infant sons, an infant daughter, and an infant granddaughter.
