Harvey M. Andersen, age 82, died Saturday, May 22, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. Memorial services will begin at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 5th at Canton United Methodist Church. Harvey was born on January 29, 1939 in New Rochelle, NY to Gunner and Eva (Moldenhower) Andersen. He married Charlotte Hoeppner on June 29, 1965 in Sioux Falls, SD. Peggy was born to this union. Harvey was a kindhearted, hardworking man who drove truck for most of his life.
Harvey loved the outdoors, horses, fishing, and spending time with his family, especially his grandkids and great-grandkids. He also enjoyed making, repairing and shooting guns.
Harvey is survived by his wife of 55 years, Charlotte; daughter, Peggy (Randy) VanDeKieft; grandchildren, Jessica (Josh Scott) VanDeKieft, Randie Lynn (Colter Abbas), and Mikiah VanDeKieft; great-grandchildren, Gage, Kade and Emalyn; nephew, Gerald (Staci) Andersen; along with numerous extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Kenneth and Norman.
Thinking of you all at this sad time. Was a very good man. Good memories. He loved his family more than anything. I still remember his laughter. Prayers to you all. ❤️
