William “Bill” Anderson, age 75, died Wednesday, November, 25, 2020 at Sanford USD Medical Center. Visitation, with family present, will be Wednesday, December 2 from 5-7 p.m. at Anderson Funeral Home in Canton, SD. A prayer service will begin at 7:00 p.m. www.andersonandsonsfh.com
Bill was born on October 11, 1945 in Minnesota to Alfred and Elizabeth (Gates) Anderson. He married Deanne Dell Castillo in 1989. He was the long-time Senior Counselor at Keystone Treatment Center in Canton, SD. He helped thousands of individuals through recovery through Keystone and AA. Bill enjoyed woodworking, fishing, bowling, and eating, especially meats.
He is survived by his children: Tammy Spencer (Edmond) and Derek Anderson (Clair); grandchildren, Stephanie Schafbuch, Thomas Schafbuch, Violet Anderson and Ruby Anderson; great-grandchild, Greyson Schafbuch; sister, Susan Armstrong (Jim); step children, Lori Williams (Jay), Randy Frahm (Eileen), and Mark Frahm; step grandchildren, Kelly Kruetzfeldt (Amy), Kara Britton (Shawn), Jeremy Frahm, Mark J Frahm, Lauren Frahm, Evelyn Rose Frahm, and Luke Cassidy; step great-grandchildren, Daxson Kruetzfeldt, Maverick Kruetzfeldt, Rowynn Kruetzfeldt, Ellie (Elliot) Britton and Wyatt Britton; along with many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Deanne Anderson & sister Karen Hamlin.

My counselor.. tough at times , butsure knew what was right. After working with him while there we became friends. He will be GREATLY MISSED.

Sorry to hear of Bill’s passing, he and my brother Duane were friends in high school graduated together and now they will be together in Heavens Glory. Condolences to his family and his sister Sue!
I have personally seen Bill Anderson save thousands of lives in his work as a counselor at Keystone Treatment Center. Patients would always say “Bill saved my life.” So we know Bill is in heaven, smiling and laughing. Dee will welcome him home. We will miss you Bill.
