Jim Swan, age 77, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 in Sioux Falls, SD.  Private family services will be held at a later date.

Jim was born on July 21, 1939 in Walnut, IL to Vernon and Evelyn (Moodie) Swan.  He served in the US Navy from 1956-1960.  After his discharge, he worked as a heavy equipment operator and truck driver.  He moved to Worthing, SD in 1998.  He enjoyed fishing, especially on the Missouri river.

Grateful for sharing his life are his daughters, Tammey Swan and Bonnie Swan, Sioux Falls, SD;  grandson, Justin Swan, Sioux Falls, SD; brothers, Dana Johnson and Darin Johnson; and sister, Nelda Bailey.  He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Rodney; and sisters, Cheryl Swan and Lynn Ransom.
