Canton. Eloise Scott, age 87, passed away, Friday, November 22, 2013 at Fellowship Village in Inwood, IA. Family will greet visitors Sunday (today) from 3 to 5:00 p.m. at Anderson Funeral Home in Canton. A private family burial will be held at Forest Hill Cemetery.
Eloise was born on July 21, 1926 to Reginald and Josephine (Erikson) Bolding. As a young girl she grew up south of Inwood, IA with her father and stepmother, Evelyn Bolding. She attended country school and later moved to Sioux Falls to live with her grandmother to attend high school. She worked at John Morrel’s, where she met and married Walter Viereck. The couple lived in the Sioux Falls and Larchwood areas before moving to Muskegon, MI.
Eloise moved to Miami, Fl in 1955 and married William Scott in 1982. She lived in Florida until moving to Canton in 2007 due to her declining health. She moved to Hiawatha Heights in January 2008 and resided there until May of 2012. She was a resident of Fellowship Village at the time of her death.
She is survived by her son, Richard (Gail) Viereck, Canton; daughter-in-law, Maureen Viereck, Sioux Falls; brother, Terry (Sherry) Bolding, Larchwood, IA; grandchildren, Gina Rabe, Jeanette Larson, and Michael Viereck, and 5 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Scott, her son Robert Viereck, and grandson, David Viereck.
