Service: A private family graveside service will be held at Forest Hill Cemetery in Canton, SD.

Richard “Rick” Miller, age 62, passed away on Friday, August 8, 2025 at his home in Sioux Falls, SD under hospice care.  A private family graveside service will be held on  at Forest Hill Cemetery in Canton, SD.

            Rick was born on March 13, 1962 in Charleston, SC.  He was adopted at age 3 by Steven and Mary Ellen (Everhart) Miller.  Rick moved around the east coast following his parents’ military career before moving to Sioux Falls, SD in 1972.

             Rick was a kind, good-natured soul who loved walking, cleaning, doing laundry and watching sports.  In his younger years, he enjoyed swimming and riding his bike.  Rick was a longtime resident of Lifescape where he helped out on the cleaning crew.

            Rick is survived by his mother, Mary Ellen Miller; father, Steven (Frances) Miller; brothers, Ted (Nikki) Miller, Kevin Miller, Chris (Rhonda) Miller, and Seth Miller; sister, Stesha (Nick) Oltmanns; several nieces and nephew; and his Lifescape family.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Tony Miller.
