Nancy Jost, age 72, passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at Terrace Manor in Dell Rapids, SD. Funeral services will begin at 3:00 p.m. Friday, September 2 at Anderson Funeral Home in Canton with burial to follow in the Beloit Cemetery Beloit, IA. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Nancy was born in Canton, SD on November 4, 1938 to Claude and Thelma (Scott) Wilcox. She was the youngest of five daughters. She enjoyed many different activities including crafts, flowers, and pets. She also loved holidays, her favorite being Halloween and Christmas. Nancy’s proudest achievements were being in the Marine Corps and being one of the first women in the Corps to receive a Chauffeur’s license. Nancy was also very active in the DAV and enjoyed spending time with family.
Nancy is survived by her sisters Marge Mullinix and Betty Lawrenson; her daughters, Tammie Ralfs and Toby (Andy) Lilla; her grandchildren Tim, Suzie (fiancé Mike Stearns), Rashell, and Jacob; and her great-grandchildren Jayden and Cayrli.

Thank you for sharing Nancy with me. She became an important person to me. She made every day at work interesting. She did not care about sharing her piece of mind and was so proud to be a Marine. She shared openly the love she had for her daughters, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. This became an important topic to addess as well as having questions answered about God the last few weeks. I will miss her. God Bless!
